Enshu JE-40 
Horizontal Machining Center  

The JE40 is one of the industry's lowest cost, full-feature horizontals, providing small and medium-sized shops an affordable entry into production capabilities found only on horizontals, with features such a standard six-second pallet shuttle for easy fixturing of multiple parts loads while other parts are being machined, multiple part face approaches on a single part load, and the free fall of chips away from the work.

The rotary index table supports pallets with parts of up to 880 lbs, and indexes 90¯ in 1.5 seconds. The JE40 is equipped standard with a 10 hp AC integral drive CAT #40 10,000 rpm spindle, chilled, lubricated, and featuring ceramic bearings. All travels (X/15.7", Y/19.7", Z/15.7") are via the massive thrust absorbing column at speeds to 1,417 ipm. Tools are stored in a 16 or 30-tool random access, servo-driven magazine and changed in one- second.

Full -stroke positioning accuracy is within 0.0003"; repeatabilities are 0.00004". A host of options include, but are not limited to, through-spindle coolant, and a 25 hp spindle.
