Enshu EV-450 
Vertical Machining Center  

The EV450 high-throughput vertical machining center features a 10.2 hp AC CAT 40 air- curtain-protected spindle mounted on a traveling column that rapid traverses at 1,574 ipm across a 22" (X) 17" (Y) workcube further featuring an exceptionally deep 20-inch throat (Z).

Extremely fast, the EV450 spindle ramps to 7,000 rpm in 0.9 seconds, and to its full 10,000 rpm in just 1.8 seconds. The heavily ribbed, FEA designed cast iron bed and traveling column coupled with high-stability three-point mounting and premium linear guideways contribute to full-stroke positioning accuracy within 0.00012", and reapeatabilities of 0.00004".

The machine is equipped standard with a durable "armless" toolchanger which exchanges tools from the 20-pocket, servo-driven magazine in an average of 3.5 seconds, chip-to-chip. The EV450 can be optionally specified with a 5-second pallet changer for higher throughput and less operator attendance.
