The Saddle Load is Reduced Through the
Use of an Air Support System.
Air cavities are provided between the way and the mating surface of the saddle. By
charging these cavities with low pressure air, the load on the way surface is
significantly reduced. This system minimizes friction and heat generation on the ways and
enables high speed serve response. The end result is a way system that performs like high
speed ways without sacrificing the rigidity and stability of conventional box way designs.
