The latest ANCA applications software in Windows NT ®.

One clear trend in the CNC world is the move towards open systems and Microsoft Windows NT*. Recognizing and leading this trend, ANCA has committed to support this concept by porting the ANCA 3DX system to Windows NT* and recently launched "ToolRoom", its suite of application software in the Windows NT environment.

The NT* system is implemented based on ANCA's proven single-CPU philosophy and provides a number of benefits and capabilities:

• Executes on just one standard Intel motherboard and a small plug-in ANCA board which gives half the number of hardware parts, increased reliability and better software integration between the CNC and applications
• Integrates easily into existing Ethernet networks
• Latest software and tools are available for the applications programs to speed the process of developing sophisticated tool grinding applications
• Other software packages can be easily integrated into CNC including CAD
• Online modem support is extended and diagnosis is simplified. Support engineers can now use the Internet to view and manipulate all of your screens in 3DX-NT (subject to customers authority).

ToolRoom is currently undergoing an extensive Beta-testing program and is planned for final release in late 1999. At that time all ANCA X-class machines will ship with the NT operating system. Existing X-class machines can be upgraded to the new NT system (a relatively simple retrofit upgrade will be required to add items such as a track ball mouse).
