Since its origins in 1957, GURUTZPE has
designed, built, and serviced more than
6000 custom horizontal lathes for the
widest range of demanding industrial
applications.
Thanks to GURUTZPE’s extensive
experience in the tool machine sector, and
to it having taken turning operations to a
higher level, their machines incorporate a
series of machining technologies

GHH Series
GHH flat-bed and hydrostatic
guided lathes are based on a single
cast-iron architecture, hardened, &
rectified throughout their length.
GURUTZPE GHH Series

GURUTZPE horizontal flat-bed lathes are based on the best hydrostatic guiding system and the most robust, versatile machining column architecture.
Hydrostatic guiding eliminates metal-to-metal contact, resulting in minimal friction, high load capacity,
excellent vibration damping, and superior movement precision, under the weight of parts weighing several tons.
For example, a 50-ton machine tool carriage can be moved with a positioning accuracy of ±1 µm thanks to a well-designed hydrostatic guiding system

GHH Flat Bed Lathe Main Characteristics

These platforms combine turning, milling, drilling, and grinding operations in a single setup.
By minimizing the number of set ups, accumulated positioning errors are drastically reduced, and cycle times are optimized.
Traditionally, the complete machining of a complex large very heavy components may require successive operations on different machines: turning, milling, drilling, and grinding for high precision surfaces.
The separate set ups of the workpiece in each type of machine generate slight set up differences, that when added up, could exceed the allowed tolerances.
The integration of multiple processes into a single machine tool is a key solution to reduce this accumulation of errors
