The Fives Giddings & Lewis FTR 3500 builds on the capabilities of the FT platform by incorporating a heavy-duty rectangular ram alongside the live spindle. This additional axis of reach provides greater flexibility when machining deep features, extended surfaces and complex geometries on large workpieces.

FTR 3500/5000
The Fives Giddings & Lewis FTR 3500/5000 is a large-capacity floor-type horizontal boring mill designed for manufacturers machining exceptionally large, heavy and complex components.
Featuring a heavy-duty ram in addition to the live spindle, the FTR models provide extended reach and a robust machining platform for demanding boring, milling and drilling operations. Its larger machine configuration offers increased vertical machining capacity and the potential for substantial spindle power and torque, depending on the selected headstock.
